A healthier version of your classic sugar cookies just in time for Christmas!

 1 cup granulated sugar
 ½ cup butter, unsalted, room temperature
 2 eggs
 ½ cup greek yogurt, plain
 ¼ tsp salt
 ½ tsp baking powder
 2.50 cups all purpose flour
Icing Sugar
 ¼ cup sugar
 2 tsp water
 ½ cup confectioners sugar
 2 tsp milk

Cream butter with sugar.

Beat in eggs, greek yogurt, salt and baking powder until just combined.

Mix in flour with wooden spatula.

Roll out the dough to 1-in thick on a flour surface, cut out your cookie shapes and place on a baking mat.

Bake in the oven at 350F x 10-15mins until edges are just turning brown.

Let cool completely before decorating!

Mix sugar with water and bring to boil, simmer for 2-3 mins stirring frequently until it becomes a syrup

Mix together milk and confectioners sugar in a bowl.

Add in 2 tsp cooked syrup

Beat with mixer until combined
